Are you going to stay in HDA? And do you think there's still hope for it?
Standing My Ground
For those of you who don't know, several people have left very recently. Well, listen up everyone.
I just wanted to say:
I'm not leaving. And I hope whoever's reading this right now won't either. Even though others have, I won't give up.
This story may seem irrelevant, but just read it and hear me out-
My mother was a gymnast, and so was my best friend, Jamie. So I did
gymnastics as well. I did it until I was a level 5, and made many friends. After
about 5 years or so of gymnastics, I gave it up in favor of the Korean martial art, Kuk Sool Won. I've been in it about 2 years, and it has made me more serious, and given me a sense of determination and focus. At one point, I found dueling. I wasn't very good at it, as I was very new, and still today, have not even been a duelist for even a year yet.
I lost so many times in gymnastics, dueling, and even occasionally in Kuk Sool Won. But that hasn't stopped me. I haven't let it get in my way, and I don't plan to any time soon.
But you're probably wondering, "What's the point of doing something if there's no hope for it?"
Because, if there's one thing I've learned from gymnastics, martial arts, and dueling, it's that it's not over til' it's over, and to never give up hope.
I hope this has inspired you, and that you will stay here alongside me and all the other people who still believe in HDA. If it hasn't, I respect your decision. Either way, I'm going to stand my ground til' the very day this academy shuts down.

Re: Standing My Ground
By the way this academy won't die because some of us have hope and belief that this would survive and will prosper once again all we need to do is to grow out and expand our reach to new academy students and bring more fun activities to this place. But you all mite think I'm a fool or a dreamer but what I see is hope and a new era for this academy so who is with me?

Re: Standing My Ground
Well, I've had one kinda cool idea for the academy that I had on my academy- ya know, BEFORE it got hacked T_T.
My idea is an academy league.
Here's how it'd work: there's 3 leagues: 1 for each dorm. What happens in the leagues is that you duel like you normally do and post it in a certain topic. But instead of getting DP for it, you get league points, and the people participating are ranked by numbers.
What this does is gives the academy a bit of a ranking system, and provides a new fun and competitive way for all of us to duel. The way the league points works is:
single win 1/0: 5 points.
match win 2/1: 10 points.
match win 2/0: 15 points.
If they quit during the duel, post a pic of them quitting, and you still get the points- but you only get half as much as you would've.
This would be the format for the ranks page:
Rank # HDA Name(DN Name) Deck league points
Here's an example.
1. ~King~(AwesomeGuy90000) Dark Worlds deck. points: 661754.
In order to sign up, you would have to PM an admin/mod and tell them your info for the leagues, and may not participate in leagues until they confirm you. And to change your league deck, you must, once again, PM an admin/mod and have them approve.
I really like the leagues idea, and hope you admins and mods will consider it.
