Importat Gusto Timeing

K you know gusto gulldo and falcos how they summon when they leave the fielf or in falcos place anything but battle well search up Gusto Timing and it says effect dont activate is This TRUE!?!? Because that would kill my deck

They miss timing if you use them as a cost or a material. So you can't Icarus Attack and then get effect, use it for fusion/ritual/synchro and then get effect when they're sent to the grave. It's because their effects are "you CAN" so if something else happens, it misses timing. It still gets effect if destroyed by battle or card effect.

I could be wrong about some things but a quick Google search answers all.
