Rp talk with Rad Part 2: Boss Characters

Hey guys, lets continue our talk with the next topic Boss characters

Now for boss characters I will need a four voulnteers to be a boss character if not will most likely have to fill those rolls myself but heres the thing about boss characters they have advantges, such as bosses start with 10,000 life points, the final boss has 12,000 life points. Also Boss characters may use teir two decks the final boss may use teir 1, now in order to truly defeat a boss character and kill them yku have to beat them three times, it could be at different times or all at once, the final boss has to be defeated twice

though...my deck has a bad match up against all tier 1 decks based on how they go + from things going to gy .-.

Well since the boss Characters use teir 2 decks then just look at the teir list we got here.

There should be pendulums. They're not inherently OP and you're just being bad at adapting if you won't even play against them....

There's no surefire way to kill Qli without locking them down, Vanity does nothing, anti-spell fragrance slows them down but they can easily pop it next turn, skill drain has no negative affect against them...

Sure there is! Thunder king, mistake, system down, spell shattering arrow, cursed seal, mst, and mind crush is very good.

Oh and mask of restrict. Burning abyss are better than qli this format, so there's no reason to ban qli.

Qli rarely special summon, they can easily pop cards. I have never seen a Qli lose to a BA ever...

No pendulums too as we are not allowed to side...

BA has the best Qli matchup... They can wingblast the tools and karma cut the monsters so they don't go to the extra. Dante gets over their level 6s and virgil can send their tools or monsters to extra. BA don't even mind skill drain.

That's all good in practice but this rp and we have no match up...We are saying that the only Tier 1 Deck in the rp should not be Pendulums...

We can't side against them or anything.

All decks are Tier 3 and lower. Only the bosses will use Tier 2 + pendulums require specific and very different to counter that we would need to sacrifice main deck slots to battle it...

Well that would make them a good boss deck since you need to battle them differently than just a normal deck.

No, it still wouldn't. The issue isn't about playing your cards differently, it's needing to alter your deck just to be able to combat pendulums. Furthermore, assuming we're using the same ban list, tier 3 would have an extremely difficult time beating them or be simply impossible.

BA or shaddolls are just as hard to beat, and you can side mistake and vanity's against all three of them. Qli aren't the problem.

Clark...why aren't you listening...we aren't allowed to side at all in the rp...so stop!

It doesn't matter if we can side or not. There's no reason we would have to change our decks to fight qli. Simple main deck outs stop them: MST, Bottomless, vanity's, T-King, Mind Crush, etc.

But, we aren't going to build our main decks to fight deck like those since the majority of decks are slower and require a more generalised defence, not specialising in tier 1 or 2...

Qli aren't hurt by Vanity, most of the time they tribute, mind crush is ok but barely any tier 3 or lower decks search though MST is a staple so that's there but we don't have much else...
