Over Used decks

So one thing that I've noticed while playing on DN is the amount of near identical decks, so I propose that overly used decks be banned in the academy.

This would create many unique decks to play with rather then the same 2-3 deck types and would also stop those decks which are so unbalanced you can win in one turn.

My suggestions for the Banned deck list are:
Inzektors (current tournament winner/ Op as hell)
Exodia (maybe give one of the admins an exodia deck as its meant to be unique)
Wind-up decks (same reason as Inzektors except winning 2nd place)
Dragons (not all dragons but the light pulser/red eyes darkness metal dragon decks maybe also blue eyes as it's meant to be 3 of a kind)
E-hero decks (not fun to play against in my opinion and Jaden has that cornered....creativity should be rewarded so copying the main hero of GX's deck is just silly)

These are my suggestions feel free to shoot me down if you think its a bad idea or if you think its a good idea add more archetypes.

It's a pretty clever idea. Besides, variety and originality is a vital key point of dueling instead of the constant net-decking and usage of overused archetypes (mostly the meta). You have my support~

Well, here's the most common decks I usually see when I play Yugioh:
E-Dragons (It is pretty new, so I guess I wouldn't mind one or two people here playing this deck, but it does take away the fun in dueling)
Spellbooks (Konami just seems to favor this deck a lot, considering every update you see in Yu-Gi-Oh, there's always a new Spellbook card created. But like I said with E-Dragons, I wouldn't mind if one or two people played it)

E-Dragon is new, honestly for the people i've played against they haven't posed to much of an issue to deal with.
Spellbook I can see the issue with....I'm sorta in the middle with that one.

I dont ever see Inzektors or Wind-Ups. They arent even on the teir anymore. They got bumped off after Tachyon. The speed of Dragon Rulers, Spellbooks, Merlanteans, Fire Fist, and Evilswarm absolutely destroy both Wind-Ups and Inzektors.

Il be honest, first time I logged on to DN for about 5 months was last week, when I used to play every day Inzektors and wind-ups where the ones that always fucked me over.

Im with phobyos, E-dragons arnt that hard to deal with, expecially when you are using a fire king deck like me XD

Imperial Iron Wall just screws them over aswell

Lolz Dark World is tier 2 at most. Im a pro DW player and proud of it. Such a great deck. Hasn't had enough success since no one wants to play it but me and few others.

I'm not for this idea. I agree that some decks are over used on DN but don't ban them from this academy. It sounds like most of you guys are naming all meta decks. Don't ban all meta decks. I'm fine with versing inzektors and wind-ups as they are not as OP they used to be. Wind-ups don't have the hand loop drop and inzektors aren't as consistent. I think if you are a good player you don't have to use tier zero decks, but don't ban them...

Lolz I was just naming. I have no problem facing them. In fact Tier 1 (what you meant by Tier 0) is quite easy to counter as EVERYONE has the same strategy. So you just find an easy side deck counter that helps your deck and you win.

That's what i am saying. Its not that hard to side against them and win. Oh by the way there is a tier zero but its not  like official its where really unstoppable decks for a format are, example would be Tele-Dad and E-dragons. Tele-Dad was just really good that format even thought it sucks now.

I played in Tele-Dad so dont get me started on it. Also Dragon Rulers are tier 1 as Spellbooks have fair game on them and merlanteans have a shot. As well as evilswarm. Evilswarm just won a few WCQ that Dragon Rulers didnt top much so they arent Tier 0.

I guess I'll just have to start building a side deck again. But who really stays to play Match Duels? Most of the time, I just get Single Duels and that's pretty much it.

Recently I have started to play match duels, for a couple of reasons. My side deck wrecks any top teir meta, so i win a lot more than i do in singles. Also it helps me prepare for tournaments in real life or in academy's like this. You should try it.

Yeah, but I got rid of my yugioh cards like 3 days ago (don't ask how ._.) and I'm playing Kaijudo irl, so yah o.o
