Alternate Futures?

This is my serious opinion about the Yu-Gi-Oh! chronology. As you know, in
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, they play card games on motorcycles, or "Duel Runners" to play Turbo Duels. And, they also provide a new monster for the extra deck called a  "Synchro" monster, which are summoned by tributing a certain amount of normal monsters and "tuner" monsters. This is also called "tuning" in the anime. But on the other hand, in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, there are "Duel Gazers", which allow the user to hook up virtual reality for Duel Monsters pretty much anywhere, and "XYZ" monsters that are summoned by "overlaying" monsters of the same level, and that can activate their effect by sending monsters used to summon them to the graveyard. But, in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, which im guessing many assume to take place after Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, there are no "Duel Runners" or "Synchros". But you can tell they both take place after Yu-Gi-Oh! and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, because in Bonds Beyond Time, Yusei goes back in time to the time of GX and Yu-Gi-Oh!. And in ZEXAL, it references Yu-Gi-Oh! by talking about the "legendary deck", which contains original Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters, like Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magicians. But since ZEXAL has no real connection with 5Ds (or GX, for all I know), here's what I'm guessing: 5Ds and ZEXAL didn't take place in the same timeline. Of course, they both came after Yu-Gi-Oh!, so therefore they both have PART of the same history, but I'm guessing at some point they split off into seperate timelines and became alternate futures. This may seem a little bit stupid, and for those of you who are thinking, "I'm not sure that's how time works..," it's anime, alright? Anything is possible. I mean, that's how time travel worked in DBZ. Trunks had said even if he went into the past and changed what happened in the regular DBZ timeline, it wouldn't change the future he lived in. Discuss.

P.S.: Sorry this post is so long, but thanks to those of you who took the time to read my extremely long opinion.

Personally I think they should have stuck with the original generation and just have their decks evolve to how it is now... xD

i agreee though yours has flaws think about it how come yugi has necer heard of the sacred bests even though he holds the 3 gods of egypt how come yugi doesnt have these cards (BTW i will be posting from time to time just to see how ure doin) and think about it 5ds is in tah future zexal could be a result from a parralel universe...
But which one?

I like the theory, it seems likely but I agree with JD I wish the deck would just of evolved into what they are now.

This does seems like a good theory, and if i want to make up shit, i think the synchros were remade as XYZ with different effects and pictures. thats what i think atleast :p

Well Stardust is the hope of satellite, and utopia in jap ver. is "Hope". Yusei's back hair is similar to Yuma's front (except its pink). well thats what i think.

Actually you know the 'legendary' deck your referring to in the anime in that temple or shrine there were statues of this 'legendary' monsters. There was also a Neos statue if you watch the episode again. So ZEXAL also has links with GX. Also the idea of two different timeline seems interesting but it could also be that 5D's had a lot of time travelling involved. I mean at the end (i watch eng sub). The three members of Team New World are said to be from a future where there is total destruction and they all symbolise a certain part of a life of the same man. Furthermore the final villain in 5D's is called Z-One who is shown to be an older version of Yusei Fudo. Again some sort of time travelling involved. Now taking this into account surely the three team new world members and Z-One have changed the future to what it should be. But yea your idea is better.

^ So true. Yugi was actually a serious, good duelist. After the original generation, everything went downhill.
